The computers are on. The students are in their seats. And a new chapter at FOCUS has officially begun.
On September 8, 2026, we welcomed Cohort 4 of the FOCUS IT Workforce Training Program—and for the first time, our students began their training in our new space at The Factory.
For FOCUS, seeing students sitting at their workstations, working together and learning about computers represents much more than the beginning of another class. It represents what can happen when a community invests in opportunity.
Our new training space would not have been possible without the generosity of the donors, funders, partners, and supporters who believe in the FOCUS mission.
Because of that support, our students have a dedicated environment where they can learn, practice their skills, prepare for industry-recognized IT certifications, and build a foundation for careers in technology.
Over the coming months, Cohort 4 students will gain hands-on experience while developing the technical knowledge and professional skills needed to pursue opportunities in the rapidly changing technology industry.
But every journey starts somewhere.
For these students, it starts here—with a computer, an instructor, a classroom, and an opportunity.
We are excited to follow Cohort 4 throughout their training and introduce you to the people behind the program along the way. We’ll share classroom moments, student stories, milestones, challenges, and—eventually—the accomplishments that come from all of their hard work.
